Moochava Enforcer Equipment
The modern Moochava Space Patrol Enforcer is a product of fifty years of selective redesign of the Moochava "space marine" service to create an elite soldier that is well-protected, exceptionally trained, and able to produce an aura of menace typically unavailable to Moochava.
Designed as multi-purpose fighters, able to drop into an atmosphere from orbit, to fight on the ground in urban and wilderness environments, and to both hold and claim territory in bulkhead fighting, the Enforcer relies on telekinetic technology pioneered centuries ago to create the first telekinetic pulse weapons.
Since the Four Finger Protocols of 1187, the Enforcers have had no standard armament. Instead Enforcers rely on their exceptionally strong composite-alloy armor, especially the reinforced helmet that gives the "Bubbleheads" their moniker.
But the helmet offers more than simple head protection: a single push of the top nodule (or a wrist button, in some versions, given difficulty with reaching the top of the head) deploys a spherical telekinetic shield that is all but indestructible and that can absorb and disperse huge amounts of kinetic energy.
Though the bubble capacitor has a limited duration (about five minutes), this grants the Enforcers access to several unconventional tactics, from rolling down ship hallways to serve as mobile cover to dropping directly out of orbit (activated at the last minute, the bubble minimizes the impact of landing). The sight of dozens or hundreds of shimmering purple balls slamming into the ground, then a moment later, rolling out of their craters, has stopped many battles before they could even begin.
Moving the bubble requires extensive training, meaning that only the best Space Patrollers have a shot at joining the Enforcers, and new tactics are developing constantly for the use of the telekinetic shields. Despite their few known weaknesses (to glue, to compression that drops the shield, and to extreme heat), and despite their two-way impermeability, the bubble shields have redefined modern Moochava warfare and produced a new kind of elite shock troop.
